I hope that you find the information available via this website appropriate and useful. We are a
large three form entry Junior school within the community of Lee-on-the-Solent.
Our children are fortunate to live in such a beautiful area of Hampshire and as a school we aim
to make best use of our local environment, including our school grounds, the local beach and
country parks as well as places further afield such as Liddington Multi-Activity Centre near
We aim to involve parents and carers as much as possible in their children's education and have
worked hard to improve home school communication. We are a Class Dojo school and teachers
aim to provide regular updates about children's learning via the Class Dojo app. We also
encourage parents to contact school if they would like to discuss any concerns that they may
have. Equally we like to hear from people when they would like to provide positive feedback!
Sport and exercise play an important part in life at our school. We offer a variety of after school
clubs and enter teams for local and County competitions. We want all children to understand the importance of physical exercise not only to help their physical health but also because of the
positive impact it has on general well being.
Music and the arts also feature prominently at our school. We have a school choir and offer a
range of music lessons run by teachers from Hampshire music service. We regularly provide
opportunities for children to perform to a wider audience and value the contribution that the arts
make to the rounded development of all children. We want children to appreciate the sense of
well being that can be gained from participating in an aspect of the performing arts and to
encourage them to become lifelong participants and performers.
In an ever changing world we believe that it is important for children to be able to analyse
information in a way that enables them to make well informed decisions about actions being
taken and how they will impact on their own lives. We encourage children to solve problems in a constructive manner and to support each other in doing so. We use a restorative justice
approach to enable children to resolve misunderstandings and conflict in a mutually acceptable
manner. We aim for children to be able to learn from their actions and to use this to improve
future interactions with members of our school and wider community.
Finally, we have a supportive, friendly and very hard working group of staff who are highly
committed to ensuring that all children achieve well throughout their time at our school. We aim
to provide an education that secures high level of academic achievement alongside providing
opportunities and experiences that lead to them becoming well rounded individuals who are
confident and have good learning habits to make them lifelong learners.
Visits to the school are very welcome and can be arranged through the school office.
