World Book Day 2020

This year for World Book Day we had  'Share a story' as a theme. The children and staff came to school in pyjamas or onesies.

During the day, each year group had a programme of activities linked to reading, designed to celebrate and promote a love for books. Each class had an opportunity to share a story with another class.

Our Year 3 classes visited Lee-on-the-Solent library and some of our Year 6 children visited the nursery school. 

Over half- term children took pictures of themselves reading in a unique place. These are displayed around our school. The children found some interesting places to read! 

Additionally, we had a poster competition. Children were asked to design a poster promoting ‘sharing a story’. The winning entries were displayed in the library, the Book Shop and around our own school.
